:: FFX OST & Music ::

All About Final Fantasy X Music!
     In FFX Music news, August 1 marked the release of the FFX OST in Japan. The 4-Disc soundtrack priced at a mere 3,689 yen (about $32 US), featured limited edition packaging along with its release. Included in the zip-lock sealed package was a blue holder for the soundtrack, along with a small booklet containing various gameplay images and artwork from FFX.

Translated track listings for the FFX OST have been provided by MadMan’s Cafe.

     This soundtrack marks a first in the Final Fantasy series for long-time composer Nobuo Uematsu, as he has apparently written the FF X soundtrack with two other Square composers. Junya Nakano, who wrote the music to "Dewprism", and Masashi Hamauzu, who wrote the music to "SaGa Frontier 2", have reportedly "equally contributed to the music as composers". North American fans can expect a localized release of the soundtrack along with the game’s release early February 2002.

     July 18 marked the release of the FF X CD single, with 3 tracks sung by Japanese Folk artist Rikki, and one addition instrumental song. Included in the single were "Suteki da Ne" (both with vocals and instrumental) and "Pure Heart", a vocalized version of “Aerith’s Theme” which was composed in response to a poll generated at PlayOnline earlier this year. The CD will also include an original song by Rikki called "Utikisama", which translates roughly to “Oh Great Moon”. Check out the site’s music section for both the English and Japanese lyrics of Suteki Da Ne, and Pure Heart. Expect a review of both the FFX CD Single and the OST within the upcoming weeks.

I dont' know how long will these links work, so you better hurry before they're down. What I suggest you do is to go http://www.amazesoft.com/ and download FlashGet first. Install it, then go to the soundtracks links above, and right click. You will be able to choose "Download All by FlashGet", then just check/uncheck the files you want to download and the path to save. FlashGet will go on auto and do the stuffs for you. ^_^
