:: Game Controls ::
* Movement:
     Navigating through FFX's world is simple, the player can use both the analog stick or directional buttons to control your character. However, using the analog stick would be easier.

     Besides the basic movements, there are also some commonly used commands :-

TRIANGLE Button

CIRCLE Button

START Button
Open Menu

Talk / Execute / Acquire ; within 'talking' range

Pause Game ; except for certain game sequences

* Map:
     Unlike its predessors, FFX does not have a whole world map, instead, when exploring the world, there is a miniature map on the top left screen, showing the area map to guide the player.

     During movement, the miniature map will show different area maps as the player proceeds, so the player can know what places are around the area. Also, the map will show different icons, indicating to important landmarks :-

Red Arrow


Yellow Arrow


Green Arrow


White Square

Points to the direction where you're suppose to go in order to advance in the game. So don't worry if you forget where to go next, just follow the red arrow!

Usually in the middle of the mini map. It shows the current position of the player, and points in the direction where the player is moving.

Indicating an enterence or an exit. Eg. to a building. Note that the mini map will change also once the player enters/exits an area.

Safty Zone. Player can rest up the characters as well as saving the game at the Save Point.

* Menu:
     By pressing the Triangle Button, the player can access the game menu, to check character stats, use and equip items, as well as 'leveling' up your characters. Main menu screen explaination :-

Location
Explains the usage of selected command.

Shows basic stats like HP, MP and Sphere Level.

Shows the current total gameplay time and amount of money available.

Shows the name of the place the player is currently at.

     With in the menu, the player can access to other options available :-

Help

This shows a character's growth/power up path. Any changes on the Sphere Board will affect the character's stats.

Inventory, displays items acquired. Items are usable here as well.

Character's skills or abilities learned through battles and the Sphere Board are shown here.

Player can pre-select which Overdrive skills to use during battles for a character.

Shows character's stats & status, as well as their equipment.

Game configurations can be set to player's preference. Eg. window color.

As the name implies, player can seek help here if not familiar with commands or game system.
